Abstrakt
Blood has been at the centre of medical research, but also mythology for millenniums. At the same time, metaphysical, religious and legals aspects of blood have been part of human society since ancient times.
The volume includes papers from an interdisciplinary conference on "blood", organized by Charles University in Prague and Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in 2009 as part of their university partnership programme.
