Power in the history of Prague - from the founding of Charles University to the present

Abstract

This article discusses the role or rather distribution of power in the history of the city of Prague. Power is mannifold and reaches from politics (regional, imperial, European) to culture or economy.

In the case of Prague it has always had a stabilizing function for Bohemia, Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic and Central Europe.
