Haematology at Faculties of Medicine in Prague from the End of the 19th to the Middle of the 20th Century

Abstrakt
Heamtology has been an interdisciplinary branch of medicine, both theoretical (physiology, biochemistry, theory of blood groups) and clinical (internal medicine, clinical hematology, oncology, blood transfusion), since the end of the 19th century. The author presents an overview of the developments of heamatological education, research, and therapeutical activities at the both faculties of medicine in Prague (the Czech one and the German one) between the end of the 19th century and the mid-20th century.
