Equal opportunities for all? Gender politics in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The paper briefly sketches the history of gender equality efforts in the CR, introduces an institutional mechanism supporting the implementation of the gender equality policy, discusses key strategic documents, and evaluates the government's performance. It also looks at the impact of the EU membership, particularly European Structural Funds (ESF).
