Clinical and surgical outcome study consists of nineteen consecutively operated on patients for spinal myeloma. Manifestation of the malignant haematological disease as a first symptom presented in seventeen (89%) of them.
Of the nineteen patients eighteen (92%) had a positive radiological patomorphology of spinal cord compression with neurological deficit in twelve (63%). The main neurosurgical aim is radical tumor removal, spinal cord decompression with spinal column stabilization, nevertheless surgical efficiency depends on the tumor extension its nature and the grade of he spinal cord compression
