Publication at Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové |
2004

Abstract

Authors report on the retrospective analysis of the total of 69 patients with metastatic spine disease. We evaluate indications of the operation, radicality of surgery and the results. When selecting either radical or the palliative surgery, the authors were guided by the pre-operative assessment of life expectancy in accordance with Tokuhashi's score as reached in conjunction with the extent of metastatic involvement of the spine as evaluated according to Tomita.
