Abstract
The research focused on the probe affected the process of Croatian national identity in Croatian students of ethnology showed similar attitudes in their responses to the questions about the "genesiss" nationality native population and immigrants with the attitudes of Bulgarian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian and Slovak colleagues. Different assessment appeared at topics affecting the "peculiar" Croatian geographic, economic, political and cultural context.
It can be stated that the survey brought information that may contribute to a better understanding of the Croatian "way" of life Croatian society in past and present too.
