Abstract
The paper tries to resume - necessarily in a quite cursory manner - the ways in which the Celts were perceived as an element of Bohemian history. The attitudes studied will be prevalently those of scholars - historians and archaeologists - rather than laypeople.
The quick survey of the changing opinions illustrates very variable attitudes throughout history. I would argue, that they often reflect specific historical, social or intellectual atmosphere.
Despite that we can never talk about conscious manipulation but rather different ways of perception and employment of data.
