The paper is focused on the descriptions of the Mesoamerican wedding as a ceremony and of the Mesoamerican marriage and its varieties. The theme is divided into two parts: firstly it is describe the wečdding, possibilities and its variabilitiy consequences of the marriagte in the prehispanic time, the second part deals with the contemporary wedding and marriage in the mostly among the Maya Indians.
The aim is to compare the variantions of the Mesoamerican marriage and wedding ceremonies in the both prehispanic and modern times for example among the Tzeltal.
