Abstract

A postal survey was performed among Czech general practitioners (GPs). Despite the high self-rating of his/her role in the fight against osteoporosis, GPs are not active enough in detecting osteoporosis.

The most commonly reported barriers were financial limits set by the health insurance agency and lack of authorization to prescribe selected drugs.
