Determination of fluoroquinolone antibiotics in wastewater using ultra high-performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry and fluorescence detection

Abstract

The method for the determination of five fluoroquinolone antibiotics in wastewaters was developed. UHPLC technique was used for separation however, contrariwise to all the results published, the separation was accomplished at basic pH.

At these conditions mass spectrometry and fluorescence detection were compared.
