Abstract

During two years farmed mouflon population was monitored for presence and persistence of Mycobacterium avium susp. paratuberculosis. Althought no mouflon showed clinical symptoms of paratuberculosis, important part of them were positive in faeces.

Also environmental samples from mouflon farm were positive. Therefore PCR method has a crucial role in paratuberculosis control programme.
