The synthesis and characterization of metal-free, unsymmetrical azaphthalocyanines with hydroxy groups and their complex formation with pyridine

Abstract

Three unsymmetrical metal-free azaphthalocyanines bearing one or two hydroxy groups were prepared; the formation of the complex of this dyes with two molecules of pyridine was described and characterized with rate constants; the mechanism leading to the unusual formation of a new morpholine ring during the preparation of some pyrazinedicarbonitriles was explained
