Importance of screening serological examination of umbilical blood and the blood of the mother for timely diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis and toxocariasis

Abstrakt

Parasitic diseases (toxoplasmosis) can negativaly affect the mortality and morbiditi of newborns and infants. It was examined 152 samples of umbilical blood.

The samples were examined for the titre of antibodies toxoplasmosis and toxocariasis and levels of IgA and IgG (toxoplasmosis).
