Abstract
The use of blood transfusions (RBCT) and blood derivatives in modern medicine is an essential part of routine practice. Indications for RBCT should be linked with the consideration of the potential risks of infectious complications, non-infectious complications (TRALI and TRIM) in critically ill patients in ICU.
