Incidence and management of polonged air leak following pulmonary lobectomy

Abstract

The study included a group of 256 patients with lung lobectomies. Prolonged air leak was occured in 26 (10,1%) of them.

FEV1/FVC < 80% (p-value=0,0066), stapler resection (p-value=0,0118) and male gender (p-value=0,0471) are more likely develop PAL.
