Findings and recommendation of the public defender of rights: Old people endangered by malnutrition and placed to the social care homes without the registration

Abstract
Paper covers experiences of the public defender of rights as a national preventive mechanism, from the systematic visits of (besides others) social care homes for old people. The new method of inspectiong of prevention of malnutrition in social care homes and health care facilities is presented.
As well as the defender's recommendations for improvement of the care provided. Secondly, the paper focuses on the findings of defender of facilities for old people without the registration that seem to be social social service or health care facility but do not meet even the minimal legal requirements.
The treatment may represent serious danger for life, health and dignity of persons livinig in these facilities.
