Written informed consent is a new posibility for most seniors in the Czech Republik. This artikle describes two strategie the physicians adopt towards seniors.
The first and more often approach relatees to underestimation of seniorsvdecision-making capabilities. The sekond, less often one, regards, on the contrary, an over-extimation of thein decision-making capabilities.
In the first case, a fraků long-term ill senior is not sufficiently informed and signing an informed consent is formal. In the sekond one, a senior lacks "good adice" and the doktor is ofen taken by surprised at aktivity of senior.
Another seriois and unresolved problem is incapacity to také, not de jure, but de facto, legal decisions.
