Abstract

After the introduction, on the occasion of the jubilee, there were lectures on surgical treatment of ischemic heart disease, lectures on mechanical heart support. Foreign host Emanuel Lansac from Paris spoke about the valve preserving operations of the aortic valve.

On the experience of our department about aortic valve preserving procedures spoked prof. Vojacek.

Of lung transplantation in the Czech Republic there was a special lecture by prof. Lischke.

Prof. Lindner had an interesting lecture on the surgical treatment of pulmonary hypertension.

There were also lectures on mini-invasive approaches for surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation and mini-invasive approaches in surgery of the mitral and tricuspid valves.
