Quest for National Identity: Metaphors of Japan's Normalization

Abstrakt

The article criticizes liberal constructivist perception of the role of identity within Japan's foreign policy discourse. By introducing the metaphor of 'normality', article provides a discursively based interpretation of the connection of national identity and Japan's foreign policy.
