Abstract
The housing estate belongs to most important heritage of socialistic city in Czech urban structure. They're still considered as decent type of housing, despite pessimistic forecasts about their future at the beginning of 1990s.
Following contribution try to analysis its situation by three theoretical viewpoints of urban sociology: social ecology, political economy of place and culturalist approach.
