Abstract
The essay closely follows platonic motives in two ancient texts, Artemidorus papyrus and ps. Aristotle's De mundo.
Whereas the text on the papyrus supports the importance of geography, the De mundo argues for philosophy against geography. However, both texts use platonic motives in their argumentation.
