Electronic portfolio as a tool to support the evaluation is worldwide instrument in all forms of education. This is illustrated by a large number of professional organizations, working groups, projects and conferences dealing with this issue.
These initiatives determine the direction of promoting new technologies in education and affect national governments and the actual educational practice through their studies, methodological support and assistance in implementing innovations into learning and validating new technologies in education. This article carries out a detailed comparison of these initiatives and places them in context with existing domestic efforts in this issue.
