Abstract
Philosophical postmodern conception of discourse genres developed by Lyotard is used for dealing with the issue of ensuring security nowadays in the entry. The text refers to the present time as to the epoch of winning campaign of economic discourse and focuses on deformation it causes to the security genre.
The consequences of the deformation are specified in current difficulties experienced by the Police of the Czech Republic and in an outline of three possible scenarios of further development within the security corps.
