Conference of Young Slavists VIII (Slavonic world: known or unknown?)

Abstract

The aim of the Conference of Young Slavists is to offer an opportunity for meetings of young experts, to make place for showing the results of their scholarly work and a forum for confronting diverse scientific methods and insights into Slavonic area. The attendance on the conference lies in presenting a paper with an extent of 15-20 minutes.

All Slavonic languages are official languages of the conference. The Conference of Young Slavists 2012 was intended for senior students, graduates, alumnae, PhD students and young scholars below 35 years of age.

Four following topic areas were set: Apocryphal and banned literature of the Slavic lands, Prognosis on dialects and the endangered languages of the Slavonic nations, Language taboos and euphemisms: their tendencies in development and function in Slavonic languages, Avoided topics in Slavonic history.
