To the relation of teachers of Russian language to the formation of phonetic literacy at elementary and secondary schools (II)

Abstract

The paper deals with problems of phonetic literacy - its definition and relation of Czech teachers of Russian language to pronunciation teaching and listening to students. The accent is put on the significance of segmental and suprasegmental elements of the language and also on the role of correct pronunciation in the communication process.

The problem of so-called "Czech Russian language" is also mentioned, as it is one of many expressions of the interference of the mother tongue on teaching of Russian language at schools. Text presents the results of research conducted among teachers of Russian language at various types of schools.

Special attention is paid to their relation to habit formation of students in the area of pronunciation and listening, structure of such exercises in textbooks and also to mistake correction of the students' pronunciation.
