Abstrakt
The author is in the article presenting real life stories of the world's youngest transgender and the youngest trandgender to undergo a sex reassignment surgery. He is informing the reader about possibilities of hormonal therapy and sex change operations.
In addition, the autor portrays interesting studies that tackle issues such as the negative influence of parents withs the gender identity disorder on their children, or family psychopathology being the cause of the GID. In the end, the author stresses the need to increase the awareness about gender identity disorders and the necessity of overcoming the myths about them.
