Crime and its hot spots in central and inner city: insight into the opinions of residents in selected Prague's neighborhoods

Abstract

This paper focuses on crime and perceptions of safety in two different city zones of Prague: in the city centre (historic core) and in the inner city. The paper analyses spatial differentiation of crime in the city zones and presents the results of questionnaire survey based on the identification of crime hot spots, which are perceived as dangerous by their residents, as well as the reasons associated with the risk perception of different places.
