Abstract
About 30 Bergenia species are known all over the world. Scientific research is focused on Bergenia ciliata, B. stracheyi, B. crassifolia, B. ligulata and B. himalaica.
Individual parts of this plants demonstrates antibacterial, antiviral, cytoprotective and antioxidant effects.
