Attitudes and adherence of patients with type 2 diabetes to pharmacologic therapy - a pilot project

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify patient's personal medication beliefs in the cohort of patients with type 2 diabetes treated with hypoglycemic agents (ATC group: A10B) and to estimate prevalence of self-reported non-adherence. In our survey diabetes 2 patients with percieved concerns for antihyperglycemic use were identified using BMQ-CZ Specific scale.

Those patients may be in a risk of treatment non-adherence.
