Abstract

The core is commonly referred as the "power house" or the foundation of all limb movement. Core muscles have been shown to activate up to 100 milliseconds before the activation of limb musculature (reaction time).

This activation promotes spinal stability. It is critical for all sport activities swimming sports including.

Core training improves the perception and control of sportsman's body movement. To develop the core muscles we use different equipment, for example medicineball, gymball or aerobar.

This paper shows how to use aerobar in dry preparation in swimming sports.
