The Subjective Movement of Body and World: Observations on the Phenomenology and Metaphysics of Corporeality in the Reflections of Jan Patočka

Abstract

Jan Patočka's thinking on corporeality occupies a significant place in his work. The following observations are an attempt to elucidate the status of corporeality in the scheme of his phenomenological philosophy and thus to add to the understarlding of how the body influences our experience.
