Abstract
Monitoring of aEEG is a simple bedside method for monitoring background brain activity. It is suitable method for assessment of severity of perinatal hypoxia, for monitoring of seizure activity and effect of anticonvulsive therapy.
Also it is possible to monitor brain maturation in premature newborns and assess intracranial hemorrhage in preterm babies.
