Abstract

This article describes a health risk assessment (HRA) process and evaluation of effects following exposure to noise from road traffic on public health. The study presents knowledge and authors' practical experience with HRA processing.

Although, the aim of HRA is general and the assessment methods recommended by WHO are published and well-known, to meet the aims, it is appropriate to use different approaches to individual HRA for road traffic noise exposure namely in the phase of collecting input data, their processing and consequent interpretation of results.The aim of the study is to inform on practical experience of the experts' reports, and to describe and summarize potential problems, including collecting input data for HRA and their subsequent processing.
