Abstract

The presented article deals with assessment of an effect of the amendment to the international technical standard ISO introduced into the system of Czech technical standards ČSN ISO 1996-2 Acoustics - Description, measurements and environmental noise assessment - Part 2: Determination of environmental noise (further "ČSN"), valid since September 2009, and its impact on a process of health risk assessment (HRA) and health impact assessment (HIA). In addition, the above mentioned standard requires the values measured in a distance of 0,5 upto 2,0 m from the fasade (i.e. values influenced by the sound reverberation from the fasade) which were corrected to reference conditions, i.e. to the noise value in a free-field with elimination of all reverberations except reverberations from the land surface.

Fullfilling conditions given by the standard, this correction is carried out by deduction of a flat correction -3 dB. The article shows the effect of implementation of the new standards on input data (noise descritpors and their values) in acoustic studies used in assessment of health effects.
