Cultural landscape in the Czech Republic (its origin, development and present state)

Abstract

The chapter is chronologically dealing with origin, development and changes in cultural landscape in the territory of the Czech Republic from the Neolithic time till present. The attention is paid to land use changes including deforestation and afforestation as well as the influence of man on the course of landscape proceses, biodiversity and ecological stability of the cultural landscape.
