Abstract
The population forecast by sex, age, region and educational attainment has never been done in the Czech Republic before. In cooperation between the University of Economics in Prague and the Institute for Information on Education a project focusing on reproduction of human capital was solved.
One of the key results was forecast of the human capital up to the 2050. Level of the human capital is represented by the highest educational attainment, it is currently the only way how we can measure the human capital.
However, we have to be aware that this approach does not exactly correspond with actual knowledge, skills and abilities of individuals.
