Convergence and Divergence. EU Country specific demographic trajectories from the interwar period to the present

Abstract

The analysis of demographic trajectories of 22 countries from the interwar period up to the present enabled to depict five country groups showing similar demographic change based on the trends in total fertility rate, natural increase rate, life expectancy of males and females, and infant mortality rate.
