Derogating from its obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and its reflection in practice

Abstract

This article aims to familiarize with Article 15 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, concerning the possibility of derogation from the obligations of a Contracting Party to this Convention. The article was written within the framework of the project of the Research Centre for Human Rights ounce, No. 204006/2012.
