Abstract

Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the bronchi. The chronic inflammation leads to bronchial hyperreactivity, which causes recurrent episodes of coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and chest tightness.

Corticosteroid inhalers are currently the most efficient anti-inflammatory medication for the treatment of persistent asthma in children of all ages.
