Abstract
The article deals with the reasons, the battle itself and its aftermath of the battle of Hastings, which occurred on October 14, 1066 during the Norman conquest of England. The battle ended with the victory of the Norman army, which was under the command of the William II of Normandy, who ascended the throne as William I the Conqueror.
The Norman dynasty started in England because of his ascension and ruled until 1135.
