Abstract

Dental fluorosis is the developmental defect of enamel due to excessive alimentary fluoride intake in the period of tooth maturation. Most frequently is cased when combined water fluoridation and the use of fluoride supplements.

Mild forms of dental fluorosis are mostly aesthetic problem. Education on the role of fluoride in caries prevention may prevent such complications.
