Abstract

The chapter presents the systematic synthesis of the papyrological research in the Czech lands and in particular circumstances of the unique collection of papyri Papyri Wessely Pragenses and its professional editing. The study is divided into topics according to the focus of the papyrological research, on the part of the documentary, literary, legal, neotestamentary, Coptic, demotic and Arabic papyrology, and contains also the section dedicated to the history of the collection C.

Wessely from its acquisition of National and University Library in Prague in 1934 to its last edition.
