Abstract
The reviewed monograph is devoted to a group of 53 grave stelae from the Roman colony of Augusta Emerita, founded in 25 BC., and represents the 9th of a series of publications Monografías Emeritenses, issued since 1983 with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Culture and other institutions. Publication of this series focus on archeology, epigraphy and history of ancient Hispania, with special reference to the colony Augusta Emerita.
The book was created in collaboration with the Museo Nacional de Arte Romano in Merida.
