2012

Abstract

The contribution is related to a project (No. 623612) of The Charles University Grant Agency solved at The Faculty of Arts. M.

Gojda detected specific linear vegetation marks by the repeated aerial prospection within the Podřipsko region. However, there was not more detailed research of these marks yet.

J. Musil proposed the interpretation, that these structures could represent the Roman marching camps related to the historical event of the military campaign against Marobuduus in 6 A.D.

Institute for Classical Archaeology in cooperation with Podřipské museum in Roudnice nad Labem try to verify this hypothesis by modern archaeological methods, alternatively to get another relevant information about the Roman period within this region. The results of this year's activities and state of knowledge of individual localities are presented.
