Commentary on proposal of Treaty on stability, coordination and governance in the economic and monetary union

Abstract
The commentary, which has been prepared for all of the provisions of the Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union, aims to describe and analyze the adopted measures, as well as to provide background information and explain possible future implications. The text of the commentary is especially designed so as to help the reader better understand the context within which the Treaty was drafted as well as the relationship of the Treaty with existing EU law and its instruments.
Among other issues, the commentary assesses compliance of Treaty provisions with EU law and discusses the ratification procedure in the Czech Republic, should the Czech Republic accede to the Treaty in the future.
