The Form of Beauty, causation and the issue of self-predication

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2012

Abstract

The chapter analyzes the caudal dimension of the Forms of beauty as posited by Socrates in Plato's Hippias Maior. It also offers an intepretation of the so-calles self-predication and the special status of beauty as the only Forms that is truly explicitly ascribed the same property as the particulars that participate it.
