Abstract
Facebook is an important social networks in the Czech Republic. Many young people in the Czech Republic use Facebook daily as an important communication path.
Community sites are on the one hand, opportunities and threats on the other hand. We need to know advantages and disadvantages of communication via social networks and there is very important to include issues of media education to education process.
Paper also includes primary data from our pilot research of activities of young people on Facebook.
