Abstract

Both theoretical backgrounds of the concept of heritage education and eight practical case studies from Czech schools are presented in the book in order to illustrate how the education for sustainable development might be supported in the Czech Republic. The second part of the book also suggests 'step-by-step' how to develop and organise a cross-curricular project of heritage education that allows linking an inner life of school with community life outside the school.
