Abstract
The article presents an overview of utterance types in which Czech 3rd Person pronouns (on, ona etc.) have no antecedent, i.e. their co-reference function is based on other, mainly pragmatic factors. Also, the article mentiones functioning of on, ona etc. on the verge of supletive subjects and particles as well as their role as taboo words.
